'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16: Jo's 'pregnancy scare' on Alex for Halloween has even fans freaking out
Jo (Camilla Luddington) had a lovey-dovey Halloween with Alex (Justin Chambers) but no matter how much she tries to spook out her husband, he wouldn't budge.
However, towards the end of episode six of 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 titled 'Whistlin' Past The Graveyard', Jo finally manages to not only shock him but fans too.
With great difficulty, Alex waded his way out of the realization that Pac North was built on a graveyard and he got the funding on account of his exceptional leadership qualities.
Later, when he decided to celebrate the occasion with Jo, the two ran off to the courthouse to exchange vows yet again as she was "absolutely dressed for that."
At the impromptu ceremony, Jo changed her vows from "for richer or poorer" to "for richer or pregnant… I’m pregnant," and managed to scare his pants off.
With three pregnancy storylines already this season — right from Teddy's motherhood journey with Owen to Amelia's baby with Link and Bailey's pregnancy outburst — another pregnancy scare would have been too much to handle.
Thankfully she was just kidding and her happiness knew no bounds when she finally got the shock on his face that her costume couldn't bring.
Fans were also taken aback by the false pregnancy alarm and have been talking about the amazing Halloween trick the show's makers pulled off on them. "The roller coaster of emotions I just experienced when Jo told Alex she was pregnant, then that she was joking," one tweet read.
"Wtf y’all had no f**king right for that pregnancy thing with Jo #GreysAnatomy. I literally paused and jumped around my room," one Twitter user wrote.
Another posted, "OMG! For a moment I thought Jo was having a baby too #GreysAnatomy." Another shocked fan wrote: "Oh god I really thought Jolex were going to be parents I ALMOST CRIED. WHO DID THAT WHYYYYYY #GreysAnatomy."
What's more, it is delightful to see Jo and Alex finally embracing each other after struggling with their relationship for such a long time. As episode seven rolls out next week on Thursday, October 7, it might show more snippets from their joyful marital life.
