'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 Episode 9: Will Miranda Bailey lose Ben right when she is dealing with her miscarriage?

Bailey lost her baby and now, there's a bigger threat. In the last scene, a car crashed into Joe’s Bar where Ben was present.

The fall finale of 'Grey's Anatomy' had several shocking storylines but it took on a sorrowful note when Miranda Bailey suffered a miscarriage. She was on regular duty and just when she went to inform Chief Herrera that he had lymphoma, he told her she was bleeding. After confirmation, she found out she had lost her baby.

After the tragic incident, Bailey begged Ben to go home or even go drink with his buddies — anything but to look at her "with those sad, beautiful eyes." Soon after, she told Amelia to get her ultrasound done and when she asked if she had elected to find out the gender of the baby, she said, "It's a girl!" Or rather, it "was" a girl.

Fans are heartbroken to find out the news of her baby being lost. "'It's a girl.' Ugh, Miranda Bailey, I wish I could reach through the TV and hug you," one fan wrote and another tweeted, "I have been watching and loving Bailey for too long to have her deal with all this. She deserves only all the great things. Stellar work from Chandra Wilson. I don't want to watch Bailey suffer, but CS does it so well."

What does the future hold for Ben and Bailey in 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16? (ABC)

"Wow, poor Bailey!!! Having a miscarriage is hard and hard to come back from. You have so many questions and a lot of guilt. She has Warren, let's hope this doesn't hurt their marriage as it does with a lot of couples," one tweet read and another one posted, "'The best way to fight fear is with information.' Is Bailey still seeing her therapist? Because that's exactly something I would say. In fact, I think I said it today."

However, there's a bigger threat. In the last scene, a car crashed into Joe’s Bar where Jackson, Ben, Chief Herrera, Levi, Nico, Helm, Casey and Blake were sitting. Will Ben lose his life in the accident? Fans are scared that Bailey might lose everything and can't stop tweeting about it. "Ben may be in danger because a whole car crashed through the bar. And now I've gotta wait till January to see if all of this shit was just a bad dream," one fan wrote and another one posted, "Why do I keep going back to Grey's when it keeps screwing us over. Bailey miscarried, Amelia's baby isn't Links, Ben might die. Really."

"What a terrible loss for Ben & Bailey! Grief affects each person differently," one fan penned down. As the next episode rolls out after the winter break on Thursday, January 23, it might show whether Ben survives and how Bailey copes up with the loss of her baby girl.
