'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 Episode 8: Jackson and Maggie share a near-kiss and fans say they have no time for this 'reunion'
Titled 'My Shot', the 350th episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' brought a wave of emotions as Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) got back her medical license. But there was another angle in the episode that drew quite a lot of attention. Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) met Richard's niece Sabrina (Crystal McCreary), who has a biatrial myxoma and while she tried her best to treat the tumor, the surgery failed and she lost her cousin.
Maggie has always been confident about her skills and expertise. Several times in episode seven, Maggie declared that she was the best cardio surgeon in town. However, after the big blow, her confidence shook and broke her heart into a million pieces. Dealing with the loss of her dear patient, she was seen having a deep conversation with ex-flame Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) in the latest episode.
As the two shared a tender moment, they were about to kiss each other. At the moment, Jackson blurted out, "I can't do this. I am in a thing," and the two realized what was happening when she told him to "get out" right then and there. The two might still have feelings for each other but viewers are in no mood to see the pair together. On Twitter, fans can't stop talking about how silly it would be to see both of them get back into a relationship.
"OMG I do not have time for Maggie Jackson reunion," one fan wrote and another one posted, "Yeah..they’re putting Jackson and Maggie back together at some point #GreysAnatomy." Another tweet read: "Sooooo Jackson is still in love with Maggie. He probably should have processed all of that before he jumped into whatever with Vic. Chile this is about to be messy. Smdh #Jaggie #GreysAnatomy."
"Jackson still wants Maggie Pierce. Is it still unfinished business between them & they need to finish. They can go back together or move on completely and stop this back and forth," one tweet said. One viewer penned down, "I don't like what I'm reading abt Jackson... what happened to the whole “I hate you, we're not friends thing...” just an immature whim?"
Another one posted, "I just need for Jackson to act right and start thinking about others before he does whatever the fuck he wants b/c he did the same shit to April #GreysAnatomy." Meanwhile, one fan even went on to call Jackson a piece of trash. "Now everybody sees that Jackson is trash or y'all need any more proof?" the tweet read.
The summary of the next episode titled 'Let's All Go to the Bar' reads, "Jackson takes a big step in his budding romance with Vic," and it might show whether Jackson still has feelings for Maggie or the two will get their relationship status clear and move on with their individual lives.
