'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 Episode 6: Meredith Grey is going to jail and fans are divided over whether she deserves it or not
In the 16 years of 'Grey's Anatomy', Meredith Grey has barely had any moments of peace. Be it recovering from numerous deaths of loved ones, looking after her mother, or getting fired.
And now, the star-surgeon is going to jail! Yes, you read that right. As she skipped going to court to be with her daughter Zola during an emergency brain surgery, she has to make up for her community hours in jail.
Fans are divided over Mer's fate. While some believe that it was in the true spirit of motherhood, others think that she got what she deserved.
One fan wrote, "Did Meredith grey do a good thing for that little girl. YES. Does she regret her decision to help that little girl?? Heck no."
Another one praised Meredith's love for her daughter and wrote, "are you scared?... you're so brave! Meredith couldn't care less about missing court, all that mattered to her was being with zola! this is literally the purest and deepest love of all. meredith grey is an extraordinary mom to her kids. I'm extremely proud of her! (sic)."
However, one fan said that jail would be a good lesson for Meredith. "I think jail will be good for Meredith. Finally, she'll learn she can't get away with everything."
Another one echoed a similar sentiment and wrote, "Meredith Grey is going to jail to make up her missed community service hours. Kinda think its what she deserves. Break the law. Suffer the consequences." One fan even wrote, "Meredith grey in prison it's what we deserve."
The promo for the next episode of 'Grey's Anatomy’ shows Meredith biding her time in jail, and trying to ask whether she can go and get her kids ready for Halloween. It remains to be seen how long Meredith will have to stew behind bars.
