Greg Gutfeld invites Bill Maher to join 'The Five' panel as his rant against wokeism aligns with his views
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The Five' host Greg Gutfeld could not resist the urge to have Bill Maher over as one of his co-hosts on the popular Fox News evening show after the liberal comedian spoke up about the university protests going around America against Israel and in support of the Hamas attacks.
His comments completely aligned with most of what 'The Five' hosts stand for, and which got Gutfeld to ponder over the idea of having Maher over on their panel.
Bill Maher slams elite colleges for making students 'stupid'
Maher took over his show 'Real Time with Bill Maher' to discuss the case of Ivy League college students holding major protests, including a die-in at Harvard, in response to the bombing of Gaza in the past couple of weeks.
"I have one piece of advice for the youth of America: don't go to college. And if you absolutely have to go, don't go to an elite college. Because as recent events have shown, it just makes you stupid," Maher said.
"There are a few of any positives to come out of what happened in Israel but one of them is opening America's eyes to how higher education has become indoctrination into a stew of bad ideas," he added, "Among them, is the simplistic notion that the world is a binary place where everyone is either an oppressor or oppressed."
Gutfeld has previously made similar comments on 'The Five' with his consistent issues with wokeism and progressive thought.
"In the case of Israel, oppressors being babies and Bubbas. The same students who will tell you that words of violence, and silence is violence were very supportive when Hamas terrorists went on a rape and murder rampage worthy of the Vikings," Maher continued.
"They knew where to point the fingers at the murdered and then it was off to Ethics class!"
Greg Gutfeld invites Bill Maher to 'The Five' table
Jesse Watters, who was leading the segment, acknowledged how Maher "sounds familiar".
"That is like everything we have said for the past 10 years! I welcome him to this table."
There were sounds of agreement from around the panel by his co-hosts.
"I mean, you know what, it's about time. I mean imagine being a Jewish kid on these campuses right now. You can't go there! You have to basically keep your mouth shut," Gutfeld added to Maher's comments.
He then continued, "Staging a die-in after one of the most gruesome massacres in history? They deserve to get their asses kicked. But they won't."
