It's the last month of the year and with all the tumult that's engulfed the world, 'Greenland's release could never be more apt as it sees a family fighting for survival as a comet ravages the earth and hope to come out unscathed, just as we want to with the virus outbreak.

Now the pandemic might not be a comet, but it was definitely a major scare. With a December video-on-demand release, it's time to get the popcorn out. brush away the pandemic blues and watch a flick that comprises a slew of high profile stars. 'Greenland' stars Gerard Butler (who also co-produced), Morena Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd, Scott Glenn, David Denman, and Hope Davis. Ahead of the film's release, here's a quick look at who's who.

The breathtakingly visual movie saw Leonidas lead 300 Spartans into battle against the Persian "God-King" Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his army of over 300,000 soldiers that sealed Butler's persona as an action hero. Butler is best-known for playing secret Service agent Mike Banning in the action thriller series 'Olympus Has Fallen', 'London Has Fallen', 'Angel Has Fallen' and the upcoming 'Night Has Fallen.'
