'Better watch out Upper East Siders. Someone's out to get you. You know you love me. XOXO Gossip Girl'. It's been nine years since 'Gossip Girl' fanatics have heard those lines but the wait is over now. 'Gossip Girl' Reboot is here and how. Although we do have traces of the OG series, there's a marked difference in the way the characters interact.
Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) is not your hapless damsel anymore, and Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) could be a schoolgirl. Clearly, a lot has changed since sleuthing blogs and unsettling social dynamics fed by the affluent living out of Manhattan. However, at this point a lot is up in the air and we'll have to wait for an official announcement about the roles the new actors will be playing.

The 'blog' has now been replaced by Instagram, using which gossip girl hounds Upper East siders, tears them down and exposes their dirty secrets. It's just a software upgrade, the basic plotline remains the same.

The series stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith in key roles.

A third posted: "This looks nothing like the original Gossip Girl. And that's fucking amazing! I'm so hyped oh my god."
