'Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted': Gordon's daredevil chopper stunt lauded, fans say 'Ramsay goes Rambo'
This week on 'Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted', Gordon jumped out of a chopper and into deep waters, as if it were a cakewalk. He delivered on the promise. The celebrity chef was branded as an adventurer who is on a journey to explore and understand unique, traditional cuisines and even cook them with the locals' help.
In Episode 2, Gordon is in South Africa, observing the Zulu tribe from close quarters as he whips up an exotic delicacy featuring a grilled fish and some chopped up tomatoes and onions. But there's a twist to that too. He had to go fishing first, catch a fish and then cook. It wasn't a rosy as his kitchen back, where the produce would be washed and chopped, ready for him to use.
But his fishing adventures were intermittently interrupted by hippopotamus, who stood still, submerged, in the water to keep a close eye on what Gordon was up to. It was quite the experience because he had to catch the biggest and best fish to impress the Zulu chief while staying alert of the hippos' movements.
In a nutshell, it was a thrilling episode with a healthy dose of wit and Gordon's unmistakable charm. But what stood out for the fans was Gordon jumping out of a chopper into the waters only because it couldn't land in the sea. Most of the viewers praised him for showing such bravery on the show and making good on his promise of unlimited adventures, while some thought it's best he stayed in the kitchen.
"Just saw this jump. Holy crap. Into shark infested waters?! Nuts!!!," a fan commented, while another shared: "Ok, I've figured it out. Chef Gordon Ramsay is the Indiana Jones-MacGyver of culinary skill and arts. Where is his special theme music, especially when danger lurks? He even resembles Harrison Ford a bit. And please have his thermal mittens on hand to keep his golden hands safe."
"When Ramsey goes Rambo," a viewer expressed, while another posted: "Right into the mouth of a great white shark!"
