MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: Jock Zonfrillo's untimely death has shocked the food industry, but it seems Gordon Ramsay, a fellow chef and TV celebrity, is taking it the hardest. The notoriously straightforward star of Kitchen Nightmares recently broke down in tears when paying tribute to his late friend and employee on the Australian television program The Sunday Project.

Scottish-born chef Jock "Barry" Zonfrillo moved his culinary skills to Australia, where he established himself as a renowned restaurateur and television personality. He established the Orana Foundation, which is committed to conserving Indigenous Australian food culture, and served as a judge on the well-known cooking competition show MasterChef Australia. Gordon Ramsay, also a Scottish born, continued by recalling his time spent with Jock in London before he moved to Australia. He spoke of the brotherhood among chefs as they came together to honor their close companion and teammate after his untimely death.

Gordon said in an interview with The Sunday Project on Network 10, titled 'Jock Zonfrillo's Fellow Superstar Chefs Share Their Memories Of An Incredible Man' at this point, the normally tough-talking chef appeared to be at a loss for words, rubbing his eyes and apologizing for his outburst. Gordon said, "The ripples have been devastating. No-one's going to get over this quickly. "If there's one thing that we've done as chefs is we've united and we're talking about the good times. So..."

Gordon took a moment to rub his eyes while pausing, appearing to be fighting back tears. The celebrity chef added: "'S***. Sorry. Then after a long pause with his fingers still on his eyes trying to hide the tears he exclaimed, "t's just so painful. That's all."

Gordon spoke passionately about Jock's enduring influence during the special episode of The Sunday Project, which also included tributes from other culinary greats like Marco Pierre White and Jamie Oliver. "Spending time with Jock was electrifying," he said, his voice cracking with emotion. "He was never done as a chef, he still had years to go."
