Vivek Ramaswamy claimed Chis Christie's campaign was based on 'vengeance and grievance' against Donald Trump

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Former President Donald Trump was a huge talking point during the first GOP debate ahead of the presidential elections.

Republican candidate and Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy confidently crowned Trump the "best president of the 21st century" while taking a dig at former Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie and his campaign.

Ramaswamy received massive support on X (formerly Twitter) as many applauded him for shutting Christie down during the GOP debate.

Vivek Ramaswamy slams Chris Christie over him 'blindly bashing' Donald Trump 

Vivek Ramaswamy took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam MSNBC and its coverage of Donald Trump. 

He wrote, "If folks at home want to watch a bunch of people blindly bash Trump, they can just flip the channel and watch MSNBC right now. But I’m not running for President of MSNBC, I’m running for President of the United States," attaching a clip of him hailing Trump. 

Ramaswamy doubled down on his support for Donald Trump during the GOP debate, saying, "Let’s just speak the truth, okay? President Trump, I believe, was the best President of the 21st century," receiving one of the loudest cheers from the audience in Milwaukee over his statement.

He then turned to Christie and stated, "It’s a fact. And Chris Christie, honest to God, your claim that Donald Trump is motivated by vengeance and grievance, would be a lot more credible if your entire campaign were not based on vengeance and grievance against one man."

Ramaswamy continued, "And if people at home want to see a bunch of people blindly bashing Donald Trump without an iota of vision for this country, they can just change the channel to MSNBC right now."

Vivek Ramaswamy declared the winner of the first GOP debate by netizens

Apart from the audience cheering for Vivek Ramaswamy in Milwaukee, he also received a lot of praise on the Internet, especially X (formerly Twitter) 

One person wrote, "Real leadership from @VivekGRamaswamy He is clearly winning this debate!" while another stated, "You were awesome."

People also pointed out Ramaswamy taking a dig at Christie as one remarked, "I think Vivek retired Chris Christie once and for all, in that moment...," with another adding, "You just ended Christie." 

Moreover, he seemed to be well-liked by the netizens as a user expressed, "Vivek you have changed the game. Inspirational."

"The more I hear this guy the more I want him as President of the United States!" asserted one more, showing his support toward Ramaswamy.
