The 77th Annual Golden Globes ceremony is being held right now, where the best of cinema and television in the year 2019 are being acknowledged. While Phoebe Waller-Bridge continues to bag awards for 'Fleabag', Laura Dern won Best Supporting Actress for 'Marriage Story'.

The other nominations in the category were:

Kathy Bates for 'Richard Jewell'
Annette Bening for 'The Report'
Jennifer Lopez for 'Hustlers
Margot Robbie for 'Bombshell'

Now that's what you call a tough battle. Margot Robbie in 'Bombshell', dealing with workplace harassment, had led to much appreciation and glowing reviews from critics.

Yet, Laura Dern's performance in the heartbreaking tale of 'Marriage Story', directed by Noah Baumbach, emerged as the winner. The story explored the broken relationship between a husband and wife, who are going through the traumatic stages of seperation.

The film starred Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver in the lead roles. Laura Dern played the role of the couple's lawyer. 'Marriage Story' has received several nominations for the Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score.

Meanwhile, the prestigious award show is in full swing right now. Quentin Tarantino won Best Screenplay for 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood', and 'Parasite' won Best Foreign language film. Golden Globes 2020 is airing on NBC.
