Release
'God Friended Me' will release on September 29, 2019
Plot
The show follows the life of Miles Finer, an outspoken atheist, and podcaster, who is sent a friend request on Facebook by an account named "God." The account suggests new friends to Miles who require assistance. Although he's skeptical at first, he follows the suggestions to help people. On one such request, he meets Cara (Beane), a struggling magazine writer. Together with Cara and his hacker friend Rakesh (Sharma), Miles also tries to find out who is behind the "God" account.
Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger. Miles runs into a girl who also claims that she is receiving friend requests from God. This opens up questions about whether there are more people out there getting suggestions and what the connection could be.
