Ghislaine Maxwell ‘gagged and raped’ student with Epstein, forced her to recruit girls: 'She was the monster'
A woman has reportedly come forward to share her traumatic past that saw her being sexually violated at the hands of Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. The 48-year-old who preferred to be known by a pseudonym Samantha said she believes Maxwell “is the real monster” who allegedly raped her with the disgraced financier. According to The Sun, Samantha was just 21 and a design school student in New York when she was hired by another student to provide massage to Epstein. She recalled how her life was “stolen” by Epstein’s “madam”, whom she blamed for being the “mastermind" behind the convicted sex offender’s crimes. She also said that she would like to tell authorities whatever happened to her in her youth.
"They stole my whole life. I had a bright future ahead of me and they took that from me. The last time I saw them, Maxwell got a hold of me, restrained my arms behind my back and put a ball gag in my mouth and then raped me with a sex toy,” Samantha told The Sun. “Then she called Epstein in. And he joined in. I was terrified - I couldn't do anything to stop them. It was the most traumatic experience but I feel she was the monster, she was the one behind it all. When they were done, when it was finally over, I walked out of that door a very different person than what I walked in - I was in shock."
The former design student described how she was lured. “I was 21 at the time and a friend from the school - she approached me about going to some rich millionaire's house uptown. He apparently was interested in having some design work done on his house and he also wanted good looking girls to give him a massage. She said I would earn some money I think it was $3/400 so I just thought 'Why not?' When I went, I remember almost passing the house because I was looking for one house and it seems like it takes up the whole block. The house was huge, it was amazing. I remember there was a stairwell in the middle.”
She added: “The girl answered and took me upstairs to the massage room. That's when I met Epstein and he disrobed and I started giving him a massage and he was pleasant. He was talking to me about my school and design stuff. And then asked if I was interested in doing some work in his house. Then he flipped over and he wasn't approaching me in a sexual way but towards the end he started touching himself, pleasuring himself. His penis looked really weird, like he'd had an operation on it or something and I felt he was kind of embarrassed about it because he was trying to hide it. I found it weird but I just thought, 'Whatever, who cares, he's not asking me to touch it'."
Samantha said she gave Epstein massages three to four times from the end of 1993 to the start of 1994 and every time she massaged him, he would masturbate. She was getting approximately $300/$400 for each service. The accuser claimed she met Maxwell when she visited Epstein’s house fourth or fifth times. At the time, the British socialite took her outside to get more girls for the sex trafficker. "She had this accent and she said something about me being too old and how he preferred blonde hair. I had darker hair. Then she took me out with her. We went to some local high school somewhere around there, but I didn't feel comfortable with that. She was approaching girls on the streets, which was embarrassing. And then she took me to a place called The Coffee Shop in Manhattan and was showing me what type of girls he liked. She would just go right up to them and ask them whether they were interested in modeling. And then she'd say something like 'I have a very wealthy man that I worked for that has great influence in that fashion world and can help your career and she'd get numbers that way. I was so uncomfortable with that,” Samantha told the tabloid.
The woman said she found a 19-year-old who agreed to provide the massage. "She was 19 but I told her to say she was 16. She went to meet them but I didn't speak to her after so I didn't know how it went," Samantha said, adding, “Soon after I got a call to go to Epstein's and Maxwell answered that time and took me to the massage room, which is where she started yelling at me and screaming, 'You dirty, filthy whore, lying whore'. She was mad at me because of telling the other girl to lie about her age. And the next thing I knew she had a ball gag in my mouth, my hands around my back and she was raping me with a sex toy. She was using the sex toy on me and on herself then she called in Epstein and he joined in. I remember her giving me $300 and saying, 'Don't think about going to the authorities because you won't be alive to see your day in court' or something like that."
Samantha said after the incident, she left New York and moved to Los Angeles before started working as a sex worker. “It's changed my life completely. I was going to school for design. I had a future. And then I got to LA and I went into the sex trade. I've never been married, this affected everything. It's extremely traumatic when something like that happens and you're not the same person after it happens. Then there's just the embarrassment of it. I hid it from everyone. feel like they took away my ambition, my drive and my future,” she stated.
The alleged victim said after living in fear for years, she got the strength to come forward after Maxwell's arrest. "I want to see her be punished. I don't want her to die. I think that Epstein got away too easily by killing himself. I would rather have seen him suffer. And she needs to suffer like she made all of us suffer. I just don't think Epstein was the monster behind it more than it was her, she was the real monster in my opinion,” she said.
Spencer Kuvin, Samantha’s attorney, who also represented a number of Epstein’s victims, told The Sun he is planning to make a claim to the compensation fund on her behalf. "I do believe that Ms Maxwell was someone just as perverted and twisted as Mr Epstein. Hopefully she will receive justice and a lot of my clients would like to see her put behind bars for many, many years,” he said.
