LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Attention all Georgia lovers! Your favorite character is coming back to Netflix very soon to woo y'all with her southern accent, amazing wardrobe, and charm. No wonder the mayor fell in love with her. However, that is not all folks, Netflix also shared some first-look photographs from the new season, which provided insight into what happened following the Season 1 finale cliffhanger, which showed Antonia Gentry's Ginny and her younger brother riding a motorcycle out of town after discovering that her mother had poisoned her stepfather.

In the previous season of 'Ginny & Georgia', viewers followed Ginny Miller, a "15-year-old who is more mature than her 30-year-old mother." She has some intensively dark secrets and can go to lengths for her children. According to reports, filming for the second season began on November 29, 2021, and concluded on April 23, 2022.

The official page of 'Ginny and Georgia' posted the first-look photos for the second season and the official release date of it. The caption reads, "Welcome back peaches. season 2 of GINNY & GEORGIA is coming JANUARY 5!!" So peaches, get ready to see your favorite mother-daughter duo.

As per Deadline, in Season 2, Ginny must figure out how to live with the knowledge that her mother is a murderer. Burdened with the new understanding that Kenny – her step-dad – didn’t die of natural causes, now Ginny must deal with the fact that Georgia not only killed, but she killed to protect Ginny. Georgia, on the other hand, would much prefer that the past be left in the past, after all, she’s got a wedding to plan! But the funny thing about Georgia’s past is that it never stays buried for long.

Diesel La Torraca, Jennifer Robertson, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Scott Porter, Raymond Ablack, Chelsea Clark, and Katie Douglas round out the cast of the series. In January 2022, it was reported that Aaron Ashmore was joining the cast in a recurring role for the second season.

'Ginny and Georgia' Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on January 5, 2023.
