Gigi Hadid accused of "blackface" as Vogue Italia cover sends the internet into a frenzy of rage
For the second time in a row, Vogue Italia has been accused of propagating cultural appropriation. Hadid, later issued a statement, apologizing for the sentiments hurt.
In another majestic fashion faux pass, popular Italian fashion magazine Vogue Italia was bombarded with criticism for it's May edition's cover image that featured American Model Gigi Hadid looking anything but herself.
The cover photograph in question showed an excessively bronzed Hadid donning a sequined Dolce & Gabbana jumpsuit, chandelier earrings, and a gold crown as she sits on model Justin Martin's lap, equally bronzed up too, both looking tanned beyond their natural skin color.
