'As long as it's not Magneto': Giancarlo Esposito wants to play PROFESSOR X and fans love it

Esposito referenced a number of characters that fans have imagined him playing, including two iconic X-Men characters: Magneto and Professor X

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: In a video released on TikTok, Giancarlo Esposito was seen on stage at the TJH Superhero Car Show and Comic Con in San Antonio. While on stage, Esposito suggested that he 'had a talk' with Marvel Studios about landing a possible role. Esposito who has played negative characters in many TV series like 'Breaking Bad,' 'Better Call Saul,' and 'The Boys,' might be playing the role of 'Professor X' in 'The X-Men' franchise. 

The 64-year-old was seen in the video, roaming around the stage and saying: "So, I have not worked for Marvel yet. I’ve been in a room with them and talked with them, and to answer your question, I think what they do is on the lines of that mythological journey that Joe Campbell talked about, who happened to be a friend of George Lucas that George Lucas put into his stories. They do the same thing."

Esposito is also seen as a firm believer of the law of attraction as he wants to use it to seize the role of 'Professor X,' when he passionately told the crowd, how he wants to play one of the main mutants and would love the opportunity of play the leader of the X-Men, Charles Xavier.

Talking about the characters he further continues to say: "So, there’s been talk of 'Magneto', there’s been talk of 'Dr. Freeze', there has been talk of, who else are they talking about over there? Oh, 'Doom'! And there is 'Professor X'. Pick one? I’m going to go for something that is a little bit different. I’m going to go and put it out in the universe that it is Professor X."

'Magneto' is a powerful mutant, one of a fictional subspecies of humanity born with superhuman abilities, who has the ability to generate and control magnetic fields. 'Mr. Freeze,' is a Batman villain and like most Batman villains, Mr. Freeze plans his crimes about a specific theme; in his case, ice, snow, and cold. An accident caused Mr. Freeze to become genetically altered with a bizarre condition that has irreversibly frozen him to the bone, transforming him into a cold-blooded mutant whose body temperature must always be kept below zero. 'Doctor Doom' possesses vast amounts of wealth, knowledge, technology, and power, 'Dr. Victor Von Doom' is often considered to be one of the most dangerous villains on Earth and throughout the Marvel Universe. Lastly, 'Professor X' was born with superhuman abilities. He is an exceptionally powerful telepath, who can read and control the minds of others. To both shelter and train mutants from around the world, he runs a private school in the X-Mansion in Salem Center, located in Westchester County, New York

Patrick Stewart has been seen playing 'Professor X' for a really long time and his death in Dr.Strange: Multiverse of Madness was heartbreak but as Marvel has already introduced the idea of multiverses, can Esposito seize the role? Fans really hope so! After the video surfaced online, fans could not keep calm and made Twitter their discussion and preaching pannel. They evidently could not contain their excitement and poured out an immense amount of love for Esposito.

One of the fans wrote, "I maintain my previous comment regarding this. Esposito is a king among actors, and I love him in everything he goes. But a Jewish actor needs to play Magneto. He'd make a fantastic Professor X."
