ARMUCHEE, GEORGIA: Robert Keith Tincher III, 29, was arrested for allegedly killing his 82-year-old grandma by bundling her in plastic bags before placing her in a huge freezer. After he threw his 82-year-old grandmother's body into the freezer, Robert Tincher III told police investigators that his grandmother's back broke while he was stuffing her in the freezer and she was alive when he locked her in.

Investigators from the Floyd County Police Department discovered the cold-blooded murder on Thursday, April 14, 2022, after a family member expressed concern about the old woman, who had previously fallen down. Tincher is accused of failing to seek help when his grandmother fell in late 2021. He instead put her in the freezer, according to the Rome News-Tribune. Tincher is suspected of carrying the injured woman through the house while she was still alive in plastic bags, breaking several more of her bones in the process.

Tincher's grandmother froze to death

FCPD investigator Brittany Werner said in the report, "He described her movement and breathing when the freezer was locked." According to a detention report, Tincher told investigators that her back fractured while he was putting her in the freezer. Tincher was concerned that the freezer might be discovered, so he transferred it to a nearby storage facility, where it was discovered four months later by police. As of now, the grandmother’s (victim) face has not been revealed.

Tincher's current and previous charges

Tincher is charged with felony murder, concealing the death of another, and aggravated battery, according to court records. According to WSB-TV 2, he is also accused of failing to appear on two felony terroristic threats and action allegations dating back to June 2018. According to the TV station, Tincher, then 25, and Steven Walter Brooks, were suspected of plotting to murder Tincher's then-wife, Courtney Tincher. Courtney informed the police that Tincher had destroyed her car a few months prior and had discussed hiring a hitman to kill her on Facebook.

Tincher planned to kill his ex-wife

According to authorities, Robert Tincher contacted Brooks via Facebook Messenger to discuss a "contract" to bury Courtney "6 feet deep." Brooks was cleared of the allegations in January 2019, according to court records acquired by WSB-TV. According to the news outlet, Robert Tincher was charged in September 2018 but did not appear in court. The same month that Brooks was found not guilty, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest, and the warrant was apparently still active when Tincher's grandma died.

The only thing that gives me peace is knowing that his grandmother is at peace now with our Lord and Savior.”
