‘Good Morning America’ anchor George Stephanopoulos, who was recently tested positive for coronavirus made an appearance on the April 14 episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ along with his wife Ali Wentworth, who was diagnosed two weeks earlier for the same.

During his tete-a-tete with Kimmel from his dining room, which he also uses to film his show, George revealed a few interesting details about his diagnosis, while Ali cribbed about the awful impact the virus had on her health.

When asked what encouraged him to go through a test for COVID-19, George explained that he experienced absolutely no symptoms, except for a slight pain in his lower back. And one day when he suddenly lost sense of smell, he decided to get himself checked.

However, Ali, who was confined to the bedroom for nearly 16 days had a tough time dealing coronavirus. Calling it “really bad”, Ali explained to Kimmel how she suffered from high fever for three weeks, extreme body aches and profuse sweating.

When Kimmel asked Ali how she’s spending her time in quarantine now that she’s back on her feet, she said she’s basically focussing on getting healthy. But the majority of her time was invested in sleeping for hours and binge-watching ‘Mad Men’.

“I watched all the seasons of ‘Mad Men’ ” she laughed. "In my delirium, I thought I was married to Jon Hamm and he was cheating on me," she said as George broke into chuckles. She also joked how people who hadn’t kept in touch in years all of sudden started flooding her with emails and messages on learning about her diagnosis.

Meanwhile, fans who were glad to hear about Ali and George's recovery were seen wishing the duo a speedy recovery on Twitter. One fan wrote, “I loved  @GStephanopoulos on @jimmyfallon tonight.  His wife is awesome Hope you feel better soon. I miss @GMA  since I don’t have to wake up at 6:30Am everyday”

“Thank you @jimmykimmel you are so amazing. I enjoyed watching @GStephanopoulos and his beautiful wife Ali. Praying for everyone who has this terrible virus! Be well and safe please,” added another.

Meanwhile, after hearing Stephanopoulos say how he’s been spending time with his daughters in quarantine watching ‘Love Island’, fans have noted on Twitter that they are going to do the same while cooped up in their houses. “I'm about to binge #LoveIsland because @AliEWentworth @GStephanopoulos and their girls are watching it. That's good enough,” wrote one fan.

Ali also shared with her followers on Instagram how her time in self-quarantine was "brutal and scary". Ali said she is "one of the lucky ones".

"And as I continue to recover I am struck by what has become the dehumanization of this plague. People are dying. People are suffering. People are hungry. People are scared. We have to shed all ideological, religious, social, economic barriers and grabbed each other's hands and move forward united. As people."

"We can isolate to help others, particularly the incredible health workers and all the courageous and selfless people on the frontlines, but that does not mean we should isolate our hearts... Grateful to be back to everything except laundry and dishes..." she wrote on Instagram on April 13.
