'General Hospital' has been on the air for 55 years. It has been - and will probably always be- the longest-running daytime drama on television. Through the years, we've seen many actors come and go on 'General Hospital'. Here are a few you may have forgotten were on the show
1. Ricky Martin
The 'Living la Vida Loca' singer starred in 'General Hospital' for about a year in 1994. Ricky played the part of the Miguel Morez, a singer and protege of Lois and Brenda at L&B Records. He was most recently seen in the FX show 'The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.'
2. John Stamos
80's and 90's heartthrob John Stamos, who is best known for his role as 'Uncle Jessie' in 'Full House' and 'Fuller House' played the role of Blackie Parrish between the years of 1982 and 1984 on 'General Hospital'.
3. Amber Tamblyn
Amber was all of 12 years old when she joined the cast of General Hospital in 1995. She played the role of a young Emily Quartermaine till 2001, after which she passed on the baton to Natalia Livingston.
4. Rick Springfield
This musician had every girl in America wanting to be 'Jessie's Girl'. But did you know that Rick also starred in 'General Hospital' in the early 80's, playing the part of Dr. Noah Drake? This was before he made it big in the music scene. He even returned shortly to 'General Hospital' in early 2000 to reprise the part.
5. Jonathan Jackson
You've probably seen him on 'Nashville', but before Jonathan made his mark on the hit television show, he was playing the part of Lucky Spencer in 'General Hospital'. He joined the cast in 1993.
6. Demi Moore
Before breaking bread with Hollywood, Demi Moore starred as a young, feisty reporter named Jackie Templeton on 'General Hospital'. She was a part of the show between 1982 and 1983.
7. Mark Hamill
Before he was Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill played Kent Murray from 1972 to 1973 on 'General Hospital'. Kent' storyline on the show was that him and his sister are forced to live with their aunt following the death of their father.
8. James Franco
James never really needed his big break on the show. Instead, he signed up for 20 episodes to play the character of 'Franco', an artist who has an obsession with Jason Morgan. The actor kept appearing sporadically on the show between the years 2009 and 2012.
