Gavin Newsom stated that it's 'time to move past' Joe Biden's age, confirming that the POTUS will be running for the election once again

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Thursday, September 8, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity reported on a recent video of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s confirmation that he will not be running for president in 2024.

Hannity posted the video after Newsom’s appearance on ‘Meet the Press’ with Chuck Todd.

This came after Hannity posted a recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris who reflected on her “understanding” that she may have to “step up to POTUS one day.”

When asked by a reporter if she’s “prepared for the possibility of taking up the president’s role,” she said, “Yes”.

She continued, “But let us also understand that every vice president — every vice president — understands that when they take the oath, that they must be very clear about the responsibility they may have to take over the job of being president. I am no different.”

Sean Hannity shares that Gavin Newsom is not running for 2024 elections

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity tweeted a video of Chuck Todd from ‘Meet the Press’ interviewing California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The tweet read, “Gav officially out. Says Kamala up next (yikes)...”

The tweet also featured an article from Hannity’s official website titled, “NEWSOM A NO: California Gov. Not Running in 2024, Says Kamala Up Next [WATCH].”

In the article, Newsom reportedly told Todd, “It’s time to move on,” from worries about Biden running for the election, confirming that he’s not running for president in 2024 as “the vice president is naturally the one lined up.”

He also said, “I think we need to move past this notion that he’s not going to run.”

Newsom continued, “I think there’s been so much wallowing in the last few months, and handwringing in this respect. But we’re gearing up for the campaign. We’re looking forward to it.”

Fans call Gavin Newsom a ‘sly fox’

People were quick to slam Gavin Newsom after Hannity’s tweet and claimed he was “lying” as he knew that he would be “appointed” without running for it.

One person joked, “Gavin gave in and is now Gavout,” while another added, “If his lips are moving he is lying.”

A user slammed him in Hannity's comment section, saying, “He is a sly fox. He knows that Kamala doesn’t have a chance.”

Another commented, “…up next to be humiliated and used as a pawn. But deservedly so,” reacting to his statement of the vice president being next in line after the president.

One more person simply said, “He's lying,” while another wrote, “He looks like an unsuccessful used car salesman.”

One person also claimed, "He’s not going to have to run because they plan to appoint him-everybody knows that."
