Garth Brooks is a living legend. Nobody has ever managed to build a career as impressive as Brooks and there's a reason he's the best-selling solo albums artiste in the United States.

Brooks's life story is the subject of the upcoming A&E documentary 'Garth Brooks: The Road I'm On'. The two-part documentary examines Brooks' life, from his origins in the heart of America to the present day when he's one of the biggest stars in the music industry.

The documentary will be providing some very interesting insights into Brooks' childhood in Oklahoma, being raised in a family of eight with his Korean War vet dad and former country singer mom.

Like with any person, Brooks formative years have had a massive impact on his way of thinking and he credits his parents with drilling in the idea that you can have anything you want in life, so long as you work harder than anyone else.

And what an impressive life it has been! From playing in college bars in Oklahoma to making it big in Nashville (after a disastrous first trip), Brooks' life is the closest you can get to a real-life example of the American Dream in action.

'The Road I'm On' promises to give Brooks' fans a close look at his rollercoaster life that's got more twists and turns than a work of fiction.

Brooks didn't just become the star he is today overnight and the documentary will be looking at his monumental journey in its whole, examining the music that inspired him, the struggles he had to overcome, and the people who supported him through thick and thin.

Part 1 of 'Garth Brooks: The Road I'm On' will be airing on A&E on December 2 at 9 pm ET with Part 2 coming out the very next day.
