TOKYO, JAPAN: 'Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf' is streaming on Netflix on May 23, 2024, and the eight-episode long anime series ends with a dramatic finale as Juzo Fujimaki (Ryôta Takeuchi) goes up against Tsutomu Himekawa in what is a clash between the Takemiya style and the Hokushinkan style of martial arts.

The series follows the journey of Juzo Fujimaki, an expert Takemiya fighter who is running from a dark past but finds himself involved in an underground combat tournament where the deadliest combat athletes go up against each other. This scripts a redemption arc for Juzo as he confronts his demons headfirst and channelizes them into the fights.

After Nagata can't make it to the fight, Shozan Matsu decides to set up a fight between Juzo and Himekawa. He bills it to the 30,000-strong crowd as a huge fight. Can Juzo win this fight? Will the police arrest him? Here we explain the end to 'Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf'.

Himekawa is an exceptionally skilled fighter and has studied the Takemiya style very intricately. He has a counter for everything that Juzo has to offer in the early exchanges.

However, it gradually begins to appear that Juzo Fujimaki is wearing Himekawa down, and every counter is taking away energy from Himekawa leaving him exposed to Juzo's offense.

The fight goes deep as Juzo counters a roundhouse kick into a submission move but cannot finish Himekawa off.

Himekawa wins the fight by countering the Tiger King maneuver

As the fight wears on Juzo begins to channel his inner demons and in a soul-searching moment, he forgives himself for his crime and knows that Saeko Izumi (Eli) is no longer afraid of him. He regrets running away.

He starts to enjoy the fight and gets up after Himekawa's repeated offense. He then goes for the Tiger King move trying to break Himekawa's arm. Himekawa though knows what's coming and has a counter for it.

He defeats Juzo but knows that next time he will know his counter. The crowd and Shozan Matsu pay their respect to both fighters.

Police arrest Juzo Fujimaki

While the fight was going on, the police arrived at the stadium to arrest Juzo but Shozan Matsu held them off to make sure that the fight could reach a fitting conclusion and crowds could get a fulfilling conclusion.

After the fight though, Juzo Fujimaki wakes up covered in blood handcuffed by the policemen. He is ready to serve his time with a promise that when he has done his time, Shozan Matsu will fight him.
