Spoiler alert for Game of Thrones season 8 episode 4

There is no point in prolonging the heartbreak. So let's get to it.

After a handful of seasons of watching the Tormund-Brienne of Tarth-Jamie Lannister love triangle on 'Game of Thrones', the lady finally made her choice this episode. But, as the throes of passion go, it looks like Brienne made the wrong choice - she fell for the bad boy who ended up going back to his ex. Brienne and Jamie share a glorious night of taking off each other's shirts after the living folk celebrate the victory of the living. She rejects Tormund's final moves to impress her and in the process ends up breaking her own heart. Twitter, as one can assume, had a lot to say about Brienne's choices in men.

"You know what... I’ll say it...I don't feel bad for Brienne. She coulda chose Tormund and he would’ve loved her and appreciated her for the big woman she is but she chose Jaime and he left her for his bitch of a sister," said a fan, while another, wholeheartedly agreeing, said, "Brienne could’ve had Tormund who worshipped the ground she walked on but instead she chose the man who f***s his sister and got her heart broken."

Tormund had been courting Brienne, ever since he laid eyes on her all the way back in season 5. Not really courting, but eyeing pretty aggressively and the fandom was in love with his admiration for the warrior. He has, on multiple occasions stood up for her and been her greatest cheerleader but clearly, Brienne's been pretty blind to his affection. As for Jamie, all he had really done is look better than Tormund, apart from giving her the Valyrian steel sword.

Jamie's character has been, for the longest time, attached to his sister Cersei's hip and this really was a true error in judgment on Brienne's part. "Jamie didn't deserve you, Brienne. Tormund loved you, advocated for your knighthood and you gave the cookie to a n**** who can't get his mind off the sister who put a hit on him," another fan wrote.

Of course, Twitter slammed Jaime too. "Jaime Lannister of the house trash," one fan said for going back to the very sister who not only sent someone to kill him and his brother but is also totally evil. "For 5 seconds there, Jaime Lannister had me convinced that men don't always lie and they can change, but would you look at that, turns out, I was played like Boo Boo the Fucking Clown," wrote another fan furiously.

But, the story remains to play out. Jaime has no idea that his sister is actually with someone else now and has claimed that she has a child with him.
