6 Worst-Dressed Celebrities at the 2026 Tony Awards: From Kelly Ripa to Sarah Paulson

Ella Beatty, daughter of veteran actor Annette Bening, stepped onto the red carpet in an all-white ensemble that aimed for understated elegance. While the look had potential, the awkward side cutout proved distracting and disrupted the overall silhouette. The minimalist styling, paired with makeup that did little to enhance the outfit, left the ensemble feeling unfinished rather than effortlessly chic. In this case, the less-is-more approach didn't quite deliver the impact it intended.

Acclaimed guitarist and composer Steve Bargonetti just had a lot going on with his outfit. There was an embroidered purple jacket, a cap, a pair of goggles, a white shirt, and ill-fitting pants. All of these elements could not come together to create a coherent look. Sarah Paulson should be proud of her mind-blowing performances on stage; however, this red-carpet look needs to be ejected even from the curtain call. The dress was from Erdem's prestigious Fall/Winter 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection with two beautiful contrasting halves. The satin upper half and the pink portion of the lower half are a sight to behold. However, the ensemble falls apart because neither the actress nor anyone on her team ironed it.

Rachel Berry would not be caught dead in a basic white tank top on a Tony's Red Carpet. Lea Michele, though, embraced the incredibly casual outfit, pairing it with a
dramatic black sequined skirt. The good-looking combination still seems too casual for an event of such brevity. The lack of effort finds Lea among the fashion losers of the event.

Rachel Dratch's outfit on the Tony red carpet screams unflattering. The awkward one-shoulder design was not landing the way it was probably intended. The zigzag pattern on the black dress did next to nothing for the overall appeal. Furthermore, the sheer fabric, traced from the knees was just gaudy. The legendary actress deserves better.

Kelly Ripa appears to have forgotten that she is walking the Tony Red Carpet. Her floral outfit makes it look like she is enjoying a typical day at work, and not the biggest night on Broadway. Though the floral dress combined with sleek jewellery makes her look breathtaking, the oomph factor is definitely missing.
