Gabrielle Union reveals she felt 'lost and alone' after she was fired from 'America's Got Talent'
Gabrielle Union revealed that she felt very 'lost and alone' after getting dropped from the 'America's Got Talent' judging panel.
She took to social media to thank her fans and followers for all their support when she went through a difficult time. Union shared on Twitter, "So many tears, so much gratitude. THANK YOU! Just when you feel lost, adrift, alone ... you got me up off the ground. Humbled and thankful, forever".
It had been reported last month that 47-year-old Union and Julianne Hough would not be returning to the show as rumors suggested that there was a very 'toxic' atmosphere on set. Union had reportedly raised some issues about racist jokes and comments being made about her appearance. The reason behind Hough, 31, being axed is currently unknown.
Hough has denied the rumors and insisted that she has had a 'wonderful time' on the show. Hough had taken to social media to say, "I had a wonderful time on America's Got Talent, I loved working with the cast, crew, and producers. I am happy to continue my working relationship with NBC".
Union took to Twitter after her husband of five years, Dwayne Wade took to social media to defend her. He shared, "Men lie, Women lie, numbers don’t. Over this past year, I’ve been approached by many people saying that my wife @itsgabrielleu is the main reason they’ve started watching #AGT or that they love her insight and sincerity on the show".
"So when I got the news that my wife was being fired my first question was obviously why!? I am still waiting on a good answer to that question," he continued. "'But if anyone knows @itsgabrielleu or have heard of her you know she’s an advocate for our community and culture,' he added. He also went on to praise his wife for standing up for the values that she teaches their daughter, Kaavia.
