DENVER, COLORADO: There won't be a new episode of 'Married At First Sight' Season 17 this Wednesday, December 27. Rather than leaving the time slot empty, Lifetime decided to air a filler episode, much to the disappointment of fans.

Anticipating new developments in the storyline just three weeks before the marriage day, viewers were frustrated with the decision to delay the show by featuring a "Journey thus far" episode instead.

The unexpected change in content left fans expressing their discontent, questioning the rationale behind airing filler episodes at such a crucial point in the season.

An angry fan tweeted, "Another damn filler episode. We don’t need these journalists' opinions to tell us what to think. So sick of this BS." Another claimed, "They’re putting on a filler episode tonight."

"When I turned it on and immediately thought of this gif where the real episode it's Wednesday most of us are at home," a fan tweeted with a gif of a woman making a disappointed face.

One claimed, "I'm not watching this week's episode of #MarriedAtFirstSight. We've (the fans) watched the journey so far. I'd rather discuss the journey with Twitter peeps, not watch entertainment reporters discussing it. Give us new episodes."

"They're only about 3 weeks into the marriage, right? Why do we need to recap the journey thus far? No one asked for this," another claimed.
