'FUBAR’ Episode 6 Review: Did Luke and Emma’s brutal confrontation jeopardize the mission?
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The new action-comedy series from Netflix ‘FUBAR’ marks the TV debut of legendary screen icon, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The episodes are also reminiscent of the 80s and 90s action flicks he starred in, where every bullet fired from the protagonist’s gun is destined for the villain’s chest. But the show has its quirks and fast-paced dialogues to keep you hooked and the top action sequences do their bit to lock you in.
Building on Episode 5, where Boro Polonia, the antagonist had once again escaped, the sixth episode titled ‘Royally Flushed’ begins with the agenda of tracking down Cain, Boro’s trusted confidante and partner, hack and extract data from his phone to find Boro who now has the radioactive waste and the nuclear core to make more weapons of mass destruction. Luke Brunner played by Arnold Schwarzenegger is a father to Emma Brunner, portrayed by Monica Barbaro. They are tasked to help Barry and Tina infiltrate a Russian oligarch’s mansion which is hosting a card game where Cain will also be present. Along with Aldon and Roo, Luke and Emma tie up a couple in their home and Barry and Tina take their place at the card game. However, even though Tina and Barry manage to extract all the information from Cain’s phone, the real action takes place in a closed bunker where Luke and Emma are trapped with Aldon and Roo.

‘FUBAR’ Episode 1 Review: Emma Brunner lashes out at Luke, blames him for her messed up childhood
Did Emma go too far with her comments?
Emma constantly battling her father Luke in a war of words is an ongoing theme in the show. Even while working on the same mission, the father-daughter duo can’t help but interfere and taunt each other for all their small shortcomings and discrepancies. Luke is completely against Emma marrying a kindergarten teacher named Carter while Emma blames Luke for her poor parenting skills and torturing Tally, her mother and Luke’s wife. Luke reprimands Emma for kissing Aldon, the macho, womanizing guy in their team, but she doesn't seem to care.
However, the animosity between the two, slowly building in the previous episodes, finally comes to a head in Episode 6. The team is locked inside a bunker and at that moment the gloves come off. Emma wishes that Luke never married Tally. Up till now, the playful taunts and the love-hate camaraderie between Emma and Luke were a treat to witness but Emma’s mean-hearted comment deeply hurts Luke. Even the rest of the team stuck in the bunker with them gasp when they hear it. This was a comment which was nearly impossible to retract for Emma and an apology can't really make it any better. But what about the mission to hunt Boro down?
Is the mission in jeopardy?
Barry and Tina do manage to get the information from Cain’s phone at the card game. But the father and the daughter are all but torn apart emotionally by then. There’s a moment of gloom between the two before Emma turns to apologize to Luke, but he walks away. Boro is still on the loose and Luke isn’t happy at her daughter’s comments. The father-daughter CIA duo needs to repair their relationship again to catch Boro and save the world. But can they?
