French author Yann Moix draws flak online for saying women above 50 are 'too old' for him to love

French comedian Marina Foïs retaliated with a tweet, taking a swipe at the author, saying that she is about to turn 49 and has only 'one year and 14 days' left to sleep with Moix

French author Yann Moix is facing heavy criticism on social media after claiming that women above the age of 50 are "too old" to love. The 50-year-old author, who has written 10 novels, in a recent interview with Marie Claire magazine, had said that he would be "incapable" of loving a woman aged 50 or above, according to reports.

"I prefer younger women's bodies, that's all. End of. The body of a 25-year-old woman is extraordinary. The body of a woman of 50 is not extraordinary at all," Moix said.

The author's statement was met with criticism and ridicule as French comedian Marina Foïs wrote a tweet, taking a swipe at the author, saying that she is about to turn 49 and has only "one year and 14 days" left to sleep with Moix, the Mirror reported.
