Fox News' Jason Chaffetz shreds Joe Biden for omitting Iran from Israel-Hamas speech, Internet asks POTUS to 'resign'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former US Rep Jason Chaffetz appeared with John Roberts and Sandra Smith on Fox News to talk about President Joe Biden’s speech on the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
Smith talked about Biden’s speech, which announced the new death toll of Americans in Israel, 14, in addition to American citizens being held by Hamas.
As Smith continued to share important talking points from Biden’s speech, Roberts mentioned the absence of Iran in the speech.
Not holding back, Fox News moderate Jason Chaffetz weighed in on the matter.
Fox News moderate Jason Chaffetz weighs in on Joe Biden’s speech
After Fox News anchor Sandra Smith shared some talking points from Joe Biden’s speech, John Roberts said, “He also said it brings to mind the worst rampages of ISIS. But glaringly missing from the speech was any mention of Hamas' benefactor, Iran, and any potential involvement that they might have had in this.”
“So, to kick that around, let’s bring back in Jason Chaffetz and Marie Harf. Are you surprised the President didn't even mention Iran?” asked Roberts.
To this, Jason Chaffetz responded, “Disappointed. The President, I thought, gave a heartfelt support of Israel. I saw no new news there. It was irresponsible, I think, for the President to not mention Iran. No word to Iran, nothing about weapons coming out of Afghanistan that were American, nothing about the intelligence failures.”
He continued, “He's got to show some strength. I appreciate the bipartisan heartfelt support of Israel, but you better put the world on notice that the United States of America is not going to stand for anybody else to participate, and to not mention Iran is just total malpractice by the President of the United States.”
Internet responds to Fox News report about Joe Biden
In response to Sandra Smith, John Roberts, and Jason Chaffetz discussing Joe Biden’s speech about the Israel-Hamas war, one person commented, “I wish we had a real President,” and another wrote, “That whole side should be impeached. Drain the swamp.”
“If Biden can’t do his job, he should just resign, many countries are in danger because of his weakness,” commented one user, and another wrote, “This joke has NO BUSINESS being in office!!!”
Much like Chaffetz, the internet has continued to express their disappointment towards President Biden as one person wrote, “Biden's silence on Iran, such a letdown,” and another said, “He needs to be impeached.”
