Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov shuts down conservative hosts, defends Hillary Clinton's 'cult' remark about Donald Trump
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently stirred up some backlash from Republicans in the country after she called Donald Trump's supporters a cult that needed "deprogramming."
'The Five' hosts on Fox News did not take her comments lightly either. However, Jessica Tarlov came in to defend Clinton while calling out the remarks and name-calling of Democrats from the GOP side, especially by Trump, which have often gone unacknowledged by the party's supporters.

Jessica Tarlov compares Hillary Clinton's 'cult' remark to GOP's name-calling
'The Five' host Tarlov, who takes up the designated Democrat seat amongst the largely conservative panel, couldn't help but share a laugh over her co-hosts' outrage at Clinton's remarks.
The former secretary of state had called for a "formal deprogramming" of Trump's supporters who "take their marching orders" from him in an interview with CNN.
"I really need everyone to spare me the faux outrage and the pearl-clutching about this," Tarlov said. She then went on to list things that, in comparison to Clinton's comment, were dangerous claims made about the Democrat party.
She said, "[A] Little collection of things that Donald Trump and high-ranking Republicans call liberals on a daily basis: anarchists, anti-American, deranged, communists, corrupt, compromised, groomers and perverts, thugs and traitors."
Tarlov also clarified that Clinton had not made a generalized comment about all Republicans and supporters of Trump, but rather the more extremist groups.
"'She was explicit that she was talking about a sub-section of the Republican party the same way that Joe Biden does when he talks about this MAGA-extremism," the Fox News host said.

The Democrat host also defended Clinton comparing Trump supporters to a cult, calling it a "tame" remark in light of the former president's blunders as the leader of the country.
She presented an alternate situation in which President Biden has the same number of indictments and felony charges as Trump alongside being found liable for sexual abuse and disclosing secret information about the country, including that of nuclear submarines.
"And then I told you, so all of this is happening and he's shooting up in the polls. When you see the interviews of those Trump supporters outside of the rallies, they're like 'None of this is true. This is a big lie. He won the election, etcetera," Tarlov added, "You wouldn't say to me you guys are in a cult?"
She then went on to conclude her part by saying, "It's actually tame what Hillary Clinton was saying."
