Fox News host Katie Pavlich slammed as she praises Ron DeSantis for emerging 'unscathed' from GOP debate

Katie Pavlich agreed with everything DeSantis said during the GOP debate

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Fox News commentator Katie Pavlich's attempts to depict Ron DeSantis as the undisputed winner of the GOP debate haven't gone over well with the internet.

'The Five' co-host had been closely following the ongoing debate on Wednesday (August 23) night and had been diligently tweeting in support of DeSantis and Nikki Haley.

Although DeSantis’s performance that evening was, as many noted, unconvincing, Katie described him as someone who emerged from the debate "unscathed" after facing a barrage of difficult questions.

Although it was clear that DeSantis’ victories were only his speech about deploying more troops to the US southern border and calling candidate Vivek Ramaswamy unprepared for the job.

Katie agreed with everything DeSantis said during the GOP debate, which eventually earned her the wrath of the Internet.

Katie Pavlich praises Ron DeSantis after GOP Debate

Fox News anchor Katie Pavlich was rooting for Ron DeSantis all through the GOP debate.

The 35-year-old journalist had previously sharply criticized President Joe Biden’s ineffectiveness in dealing with the Maui wildfires, and while the GOP debate is in full swing, Katie touted DeSantis as the man to watch in the presidential election.

In the GOP debate, DeSantis was at times seen yelling and then falling silent altogether. 

His performance was labelled as awkward by many but after the debate was over, Katie Pavlich tweeted rave reviews about his performance. 

She tweeted, "DeSantis didn't take the bait or get into shouting matches tonight, rising above it and making clear, memorable, and dominant points as a result.”

Katie added that DeSantis came out victorious and without any figurative blow to his reputation. “He emerges unscathed, whether that cuts into Trump's lead is another question.” 

Despite this tweet, Katie also retweeted DeSantis’ various clips from the GOP debate which included his criticisms of President Joe Biden in dealing with Maui and how he removed radical left-winga attorneys brought forth by George Soros. 

Katie’s relentless tweets supporting DeSantis didn’t sit well with the netizens who pounced on her to question her motives.

Katie Pavlich slammed for praising Ron DeSantis 

Many social media users noticed Katie Pavlich’s tweet about Ron DeSantis and questioned her.

One user wrote, “Dang Katie, I used to really like you” while another said, “He was a non-factor. He had no memorable moments. Are you suddenly on his payroll?”

A third said, “Katie, I've always liked you, but I didn't realize you were a RINO.....DeSantis sold his soul to the party of do-nothings and will never be President.”

Another user mentioned, “Not quite. Bad look when he turned to see whether others raised their hands before raising his. Overall a good night but not a game changer.”

One user said, “Girl we know @FoxNews is pulling for DeSantis that’s why no one is thrilled with him”
