Fox News host Jessica Tarlov compares Kevin McCarthy's speakership to Nancy Pelosi's, says 'she managed just fine'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a historic move, Kevin McCarthy has now been ousted as Speaker of the US House of Representatives, the first one to be expelled from the position in the lower chamber of Congress.
The Republican leader was voted off of speakership after a few representatives from his own party sided with the Democrats in favor of his removal.
Fox News host Jessica Tarlov went on to compare his speakership tenure to Nancy Pelosi's, who was dealing with a narrow majority in the house just like him. She went on to praise the former Democrat speaker who was able to retain her position in the House, unlike McCarthy.
Jessica Tarlov recalls Nancy Pelosi's speakership after Kevin McCarthy's loss
Tarlov, who holds the designated Democrat seat on the Fox News show 'The Five', noted that McCarthy was not the only one who was facing a narrow majority vote margin.
"You hear a lot about the impossible job of managing a caucus like this," the host said, "He only had a five-seat majority. That is the same number that Nancy Pelosi had and she managed just fine. Nothing like this ever happened when Nancy Pelosi was in charge."
Tarlov also said that it was a major mistake on the part of congresspeople who had voted for a divided government.
"They said 'We want Joe Biden in the White House but we want to make sure that we have Republicans in control of Congress,'" she continued, "This obviously signals that they made a big mistake."
Jessica Tarlov says Kevin McCarthy has himself to blame for his ousting
Tarlov also pointed out that McCarthy's fall from speakership was something he brought upon himself, especially after the stance he had taken against Democrats following the spending bill fiasco.
"Kevin McCarthy decided that he should go on 'Face The Nation' this weekend and lie about how that continuing resolution got cut over the weekend," Tarlov explained, "He tried to blame the Democrats. [Margaret] Brennan (FTN moderator) pushed back and said 'No, they saved your b**t', like they did back in January."
Tarlov referred to reports that have concluded that McCarthy throwing Democrats under the bus might have caused none of them to side with him during the vote, calling it "a big big mistake" on his part.
