Fox News host Jesse Watters calls Biden a 'small man who cannot admit a mistake' over border wall approval by Congress
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The Joe Biden administration, in a shocking move, has allowed the construction of the border wall in Texas after much criticism of the project.
President Joe Biden, along with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, have come forward to clarify that the approval was out of their control and was a decision made by Congress.
Fox News host Jesse Watters went on to slam the administration for not admitting to their mistakes and also called them liars for claiming that they were merely following the law.
Jesse Watters says Biden admin is lying about border wall construction
In remarking that the POTUS was insecure, 'The Five' host Watters urged Biden to come clean about changing his mind on the border wall policy.
"He could have easily said, 'You know what, we are in a little trouble. This money's out there. They tell me it's a good idea to build it, so we're going to build it' and then pivot away," Watters said, "'Cause now he just a small man who can't admit a mistake."
Watters also claimed that while addressing Congress' decision to go along with the wall construction, Biden brushed off any blame from his administration.
"He's lying again because he said he tried to convince Congress to misappropriate the money," the host pointed out.
"The Democrats had the House in the Senate for two years! They had it in 2021, 2022. And you couldn't convince Nancy [Pelosi] and Chuck [Schumer] to move the money somewhere else? That's a lie."
Jesse Watters questions non-existent 'new technology' for illegal immigration
The Fox News host also claimed that the Biden administration could not be trusted with the border wall even after its construction.
"That's legal, to tear it down now," Watters pointed out, "And he also drove a hundred holes through the wall so the antelope can migrate to Mexico."
He also added that it's going to be an even costlier affair "because [Biden] sold the extra wall that was gathering dust at a huge loss."
In relation to the migrant crisis, Watters went on to demand proof of the "new technology" that has been used as a defense against illegal immigration.
"What is this new technology that's better than the border wall?" he questioned, "They can't name it because it doesn't exist."
