Fox News host Greg Gutfeld slams ‘intellectual’ reporters as he gives his view on Biden admin’s $6B Iran deal
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: There has been much debate already on the Israel-Palestine conflict and it goes without saying that people have chosen sides.
However, the discourse has gone much beyond picking a side in America, as many speculate whether the Biden administration is indirectly responsible for the attack.
While some believe that the POTUS and the deal with Iran have nothing to do with the Hamas attack on Israelis, others, mostly Republicans, believe that the deal which unfreezed $6B in Iranian assets may have contributed to the war, as reported by Fox News.
This includes Fox News host Greg Gutfeld who went on to slam reporters through a post on X for siding with Joe Biden.
Greg Gutfeld calls US-Iran deal 'too simple' for 'intellectuals' to understand
The 'The Five' host decided to give an explanation of how he believes the recent sanction waivers by the Biden administration to Iran may have made it possible for Palestinian militant group Hamas to open a surprise attack on Israel.
"Do reporters get that money is fungible? Give me a 100 bucks & say "you must only buy yourself a coat," & that means there's another 100 bucks in my bank account I can spend on something thats not a coat," his post on X read.
do reporters get that money is fungible? give me a 100 bucks & say "you must only buy yourself a coat," & that means there's another 100 bucks in my bank account i can spend on something thats not a coat. Perhaps too simple a thing for smirking intellectuals.

Here, Gutfeld is referring to the US making the sanction waivers and unfreezing $6 billion of Iranian assets with the condition that the funds only be used for humanitarian purposes, as reported by Al Jazeera.
The Fox News suggested that while Iran might not have used the same money directly to fund the Hamas attacks, it may have allowed them the financial liberty to do so.
"Perhaps too simple a thing for smirking intellectuals," Gutfeld added to his tweet.
How has the claim about the $6B worth of Iranian assets been debunked?
Reporters were quick to debunk any claims that suggested that the Biden administration fueled the attacks on Israel through the deal with Iran. This also included Fox News' Jennifer Griffin who is the Chief National Security correspondent.
In a recent coverage of the attacks from Gaza to Israel, Griffin revealed that the $6 billion had nothing to do with American taxpayers as they were frozen funds earned from oil sales by Iran.
Griffin: The $6 billion is still currently held in a Qatari bank account with U.S. Treasury oversight. The money came from Iranian oil sales to South Korea and did not include U.S. Taxpayer dollars. pic.twitter.com/HAQV3HUh3N

She also emphasized that the money that is still securely kept in Qatar will be looked over by the US on its usage.
A tweet quoting Griffin said, "Griffin: The $6 billion is still currently held in a Qatari bank account with U.S. Treasury oversight. The money came from Iranian oil sales to South Korea and did not include U.S. Taxpayer dollars."
