NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Greg Gutfeld managed to get some attention at the third GOP Presidential Debate when candidate Vivek Ramaswamy mentioned him in a furious rant against the moderators.

While on 'The Five', the host reacted to being name-dropped on the debate stage. As he savored the spotlight, Gutfeld maintained his on-air arrogance as he called the job of a moderator a "demotion" for him.

He also shared his take on the debate and who he thought gained the most support from Republican voters.

Greg Gutfeld doesn't want to be debate moderator

Vivek Ramaswamy attacked 'Meet The Press' moderator Kristen Welker for being on the panel for the third debate. He said that Gutfeld was one of the better choices for a Republican-centered debate.

"I can't tell if that was a compliment or an insult," the Fox News host confessed as his co-hosts laughed.

"To me, it would be a demotion cause I'm here saving the world," said Gutfeld. He added, "And also, they could not handle me moderating a debate. I would outshine them all. That was why the last time Dana, I said 'Try Dana Perino'. Cause I said they needed Dana's likeness to balance out the intellectual depth of Univision."

His co-host Dana Perino was the moderator for the second debate on Fox Business. Univision was also part of the debate with host Ilia Calderón as one of the moderators.

Greg Gutfeld's take on who won third GOP debate

Moving on to comment on the debate itself, Gutfeld noted that candidate Nikki Haley calling Vivek Ramaswamy 'scum' was "harsh" and born out of "personal animosity".

"I don't think they are gonna share a ticket," the host said.

Gutfeld also believed that Ramaswamy won the debate for being "memorable" and "unapologetic".

"His voice, by far, is the strongest," he went on to say.

Gutfeld also added, "DeSantis is a good leader but he's not good at this. It doesn't shine." He also shared, "Tim Scott, I couldn't remember a thing."

"But Vivek going after the RNC for their inexplicable choices with the boss in the room? That takes some serious word rhymes with 'talls'," Gutfeld further said. "And it's true because you know, biased Democrats asking questions that usually guarantee they'd be loaded with antagonism means you'll have to untangle the question before you can actually talk about whether you're qualified or not," added the host.
