NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Greg Gutfeld, a Fox News host, has called upon the Biden Administration to address the ongoing border situation in America, particularly in light of the escalating violence in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

During his appearance on 'The Five,' the news show host expressed his gratitude for President Joe Biden's Tuesday speech.

However, he emphasized that his confidence in the government's actions would only be assured when they take tangible steps to protect the Southern border.

Greg Gutfeld says Biden's speech did the bare minimum

In an unexpected turn of events, Gutfeld offered commendation for President Biden's address regarding the Hamas attack on Israel. However, he quickly added that his expectations for the President's actions remained rather modest.

"I thought it was a strong speech," Gutfeld said, "You can get petty about the words, I guess, but there's a lot of problems with his administration and that wasn't a problem. My bar is very low for Joe Biden. I was relieved he didn't compare the attack to a fire in the kitchen. So, that was good. That's a win in my book."

The Fox News host also asked the administration to act on the words and not limit themselves to a speech.

"However, it's not like I was fortified or empowered by it because I guess it's just words right now and I'm waiting for the deeds," Gutfeld added, "I thought the words were strong but I always go by the deeds so we have to wait and see."

Gutfeld underscored his belief that, at this moment, it is crucial for America to bolster its security measures along the Southern border.

"I know a lot of people were saying 'Why didn't he mention Iran?' I don't think that was the problem. I think that right now we have to talk about our vulnerability. Our immediate threat. And we have one. It's called the Southern border and it's unprotected."

"It would have been nice of him [Biden] to say we are going to close -- You know, treat it like like we did with Covd, right? We have got to close the border. We have got to get troops down there. We gotta treat this as a serious threat to the United States," he continued.

"I think that this is a stark scary moment for the West. After 9/11, we were devastated. But there was never a concern that we weren't being led by a team of people with fortitude and will," Gutfeld said.

He went on to add, "I feel that right now, we are dealing with a leadership deficit and I'm giving him [Biden] credit for that speech albeit it was a couple of days late and he could have done it instead of going to a barbecue. But right now, it's not like we are at baseline; I feel like we're in a hole, leadership-wise. And I don't think we can pretend that we are in a good place right now."
