NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Greg Gutfeld attacked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for her strange response to a question about surging antisemitism in the country.

On Monday, October 23, KJP ended up addressing the hate crime inflicted on Muslims in America instead of antisemitism, as per the reporter's question.

Gutfeld blamed the secretary, saying that it was her "identity politics" at play that caused her to answer that way during the briefing.

Karine Jean-Pierre claims she 'misheard' question on antisemitism

On October 23, a reporter asked the secretary about President Biden's concerns in relation to the potential rise in antisemitism in the wake of the Israel-Palestine war. Instead of even mentioning antisemitism or crimes against Jews, KJP gave a vague answer.

"We have not seen any credible threats. I know there's always been questions about credible threats. But just want to make sure that that's out there."

KJP then went on to address hate crimes against Muslims for which she later came under fire from Fox News host, Greg Gutfeld.

In another briefing, she clarified that antisemitism is "unacceptable" and that there's no place for it.

Through a statement to USA Today, KJP also confessed to mishearing the question and said, "As I have foot-stomped many times from the podium and on the air, antisemitism is an abomination that this President has fought against his entire life; and I feel strongly about that work."

'The Five' host Gutfeld did not accept her clarification as he went on to slam her for her "identity politics".

Greg Gutfeld says Karine Jean-Pierre 'heard what she wanted to hear'

Gutfled called out the White House Press Secretary, claiming that she took a biased stance on the issue.

"I think she heard what she wanted to hear," the Fox News host said, adding, "She stopped listening in the middle of that sentence and heard Islamophobia instead of antisemitism."

He added, "And that's a product of identity politics. She conflated groups with individuals so that hatred for Hamas becomes Islamophobia and then a one-off racist act then becomes the guilt of an entire population. That's how it works."

Gutfled also went on to claim that KJP saw a significant group referred to as "us" as the problem. He did not clarify if he meant Jewish or white people according to his race argument.

"She's a mouthpiece for the administration that sees us as the problem. Remember in that speech, and I'm paraphrasing what Joe Biden said, but he said that this kind of problem exists right here in America. He said it not in those words but you get the meaning," he said.
