In Iran, crowds took to the streets to celebrate the recent attacks, which resulted in the loss of lives of hundreds of Israelis and left thousands injured.

Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanani, remarked, "What took place today is in line with the continuation of victories for the anti-Zionist resistance in different fields, including Syria, Lebanon, and occupied lands.”

On social media, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei shared a message, “God willing, the cancer of the usurper Zionist regime will be eradicated at the hands of the Palestinian people and the Resistance forces throughout the region.”

The White House released Biden’s statement where he said, “As we continue to account for the horrors of the appalling terrorist assault against Israel this weekend and the hundreds of innocent civilians who were murdered, we are seeing the immense scale and reach of this tragedy.”

The statement continued, “Sadly, we now know that at least 11 American citizens were among those killed—many of whom made a second home in Israel.”

“We also know that American citizens still remain unaccounted for, and we are working with Israeli officials to obtain more information as to their whereabouts. While we are still working to confirm, we believe it is likely that American citizens may be among those being held by Hamas,” Biden added.
