Fox News anchor Sean Hannity called 'grifter' for tweeting 'dumb dems' and talking about 'Donald bucks'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X on Tuesday, August 29, to share an article from his official website and talk about how much money Donald Trump's mugshot merchandise made.
After former president Trump was arrested on August 24, his mugshot became incredibly popular on social media, and all kinds of merchandise associated with it was being sold online.
Al Jazeera reported, “Former President Donald Trump‘s campaign says it raised more than $7M after he was booked at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia on charges he schemed to overturn the 2020 election in the state.”
Now, Hannity has also reported on this, on his website, and also labeled Democrats as “dumb” on X, for which he faced severe backlash, and was labeled a “grifter.”

Hannity tweeted, “*DUMB DEMS*.” Along with this, he shared an article from his website titled, “DONALD BUCKS! Team Trump Sells More Than $7 Million in Mugshot Merch.”
In the article, Hannity referred to CBS News for the numbers and quotes from a spokesperson.
The article also said, “Trump’s mugshot merch store was online almost immediately after his arrest, with shirts, mugs, stickers, posters, and more available for donors to purchase the same day as his arrest.”
The article also spoke about how the mugshot “backfired” for Fulton County Jail, where Trump was arrested.
It stated, “Trump did not have his booking photo taken during his previous arrests in New York City, Miami and Washington, D.C. —but Fulton County Jail in Georgia insisted in a move that has clearly backfired."

After Hannity tweeted about “dumb dems” and “Donald bucks” the internet labeled him a “grifter” as one person wrote, “And the Grifter keeps grifting!” Another said, “The grift continues”
Some have pointed out the obvious when it comes to Hannity’s report as one person wrote, “Nazi and Hitler memorabilia sells too, Sean; that doesn't mean it's cool.” Afourth said, “He is still going to jail, genius.”

Democrats have also responded as one person said, “The guy has 4 indictments and you call our party dumb.”
Some labeled Hannity as “part of the problem” stating, “You’re going to go down in history as part of the problem Sean, not the solution.”
