NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News anchor Jesse Watters addressed Senator Bernie Sanders’ call for the “redistribution of wealth” on ‘Jesse Watters Primetime’ as he highlighted the whereabouts of Sanders’ wealth.

Watters took a sarcastic dig at Sanders as he labeled the senator “America’s favorite socialist.” Watters took to Twitter to share a clip from his 8 pm segment on Fox News, as he worded his issue with Sanders’ call for redistribution of wealth.

After his tweet, Watters faced backlash from the internet as they called him a “liar” over his reporting of Sanders on Fox News.

Watters slams Sanders on Fox News

In his tweet about Sanders, Watters wrote, “America’s favorite socialist promised to redistribute the wealth and he’s made good on his promise. Bernie’s taking the wealth and redistributing it to his family.”

Watters also shared a clip from his coveted 8 pm slot where he said, “America’s favorite socialist, Bernie Sanders, made a name for himself by promising to redistribute the wealth. Turns out, he has made good on that promise. He’s taking the wealth from his campaign donors and redistributing it to his family.”

“According to a report from Fox Digital, Bernie quietly funneled $200,000 from the campaign fund to the Sanders Institute,” Watters continued, adding, “Well, what’s the Sanders Institute? It’s a good question. According to Bernie, it doesn’t exist.”

In this segment on ‘Jesse Watters Primetime’, Watters also claimed that if anyone donates to “Bernie Sanders for President” they are actually giving that money to his wife and children. As Watters detailed his findings about Sanders, the internet did not respond too well to it.

Watters faces backlash over Sanders’ claims

The Internet has accused Watters of lying after he shared this tweet. One person responded, “I see a headline, think 'oh, this might be interesting" then I see Jesse Watters name.  Never mind, not worth my time or energy, all lies.”

Another wrote, “Come on how much do you lie. As much as you breathe.”

Some people have also taken a dig at Fox News along with Watters, as one person tweeted, “I guess the "Hunter Biden" isn't working anymore so now let's go after Bernie.”

The same user continued, “If you want a real story just look at "MR" Donald Trump. But I guess that would be too easy. What a network of Cartoon characters.”

Most responses to Watters have called him a ‘liar’ as one person wrote, “Jesse you are the only major liar on Fox Fake News not certified as such by a court of law.”

One person also stated, “Jesse Waters is a LIAR, even his own Mom literally called him out LIVE on the Air!!!”

And of course, Donald Trump doesn’t go unmentioned when people talk about Watters’ coverage on Fox News as one person tweeted, “Odd how you never talk about trumps donations.”
