Fox extends 'Lethal Weapon' season three by two episodes
Damon Wayans, who recently announced his exit after 13 episodes which wrap up the season 3, will be a part of the two episodes as cop Roger Murtaugh.
With all the bombs that were thrown at us by the 'Lethal Weapon' cast, about the exit of Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans, Fox has ordered for two additional episodes for season 3. Damon Wayans, who recently announced his exit after 13 episodes which wrap up the season 3, will be a part of the two episodes as cop Roger Murtaugh, extending the show of 13 episodes to 15 episodes.
In an interview with EUR Wayans mentioned about his exit from the show for the first time. “I’m going to be quitting the show in December after we finish the initial 13,” Wayans said in the video interview. “So I really don’t know what they’re planning, but that’s what I’m planning. I’m a 58-year-old diabetic and I’m working 16-hour days.”
When he was asked about his plans after the show, Wayans said, "I’m going to return to the stage and try to find my smile again.” The show was renewed in May despite Clayne Crawford, who played Martin Riggs was removed for bad behavior. He was replaced by Seann William Scott.
The third season of Lethal Weapon on FOX is averaging a 0.77 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.17 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 22% and 23%, respectively. We don't know yet whether there will be a season 4 of 'Lethal Weapon', however, by adding two more episodes in the current season, it may hint the end of the show.
The next episode for 'Lethal Weapon' airs on October 16.
