'Fox & Friends' hosts roast Vivek Ramaswamy over his explosive views on scaling back US aid to Israel
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Fox & Friends' hosts are not completely on board with GOP hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy's views on foreign policy.
The businessman-turned-politician has gained impressive popularity since his first nationwide performance at the first Republican debate a few days ago.
However, his views on US foreign policy, including the idea that he wants to stop funding Israel, have caused many to point fingers at him.
The Fox News hosts referred to an interview with primetime host Sean Hannity which further revealed Ramaswamy's thoughts on the US-Israel relations.

Host Ainsley Earhardt addressed several important goals in Ramaswamy's plans for international relations.
"When he was on our show he defended himself over funding Ukraine or not funding Ukraine," Earhardt said, referring to Ramaswamy's outright stance pulling US aid to Ukraine.
The hosts also discussed Ramaswamy's suggestions on American relations with Taiwan as Earhardt summarized, "He basically said...after we take the chips, then they are basically on their own."
This was in reference to the GOP candidate's plan to give China the freedom to invade Taiwan after the US is not dependent on its "chips" or semiconductor production.

What particularly put off the hosts of 'Fox & Friends' were Ramaswamy's plans for Israel if he is elected, and for that, they referred to the interview with Hannity.
Sean Hannity questioned Ramaswamy about his statements, "You said aid to Israel, our number one ally, the only democracy in the region, should end in 2028 and that they should be integrated with their neighbors.”
Ramaswamy was quick to defend himself, "What I said is it would be a mark of success if we ever got to a point in our relationship with Israel if Israel never needed the United States aid."
The politician then went on to confirm that he would not be cutting off aid to Israel as President.
Vivek Ramaswamy is 'wrong about all that foreign policy stuff'
Earhardt made it clear that Israel is of particular importance to Republicans and that Ramaswamy's plans could hurt his chances with his own supporters.
“He’s wrong about all that foreign policy stuff," host Steve Doocy said in reaction to the 'Hannity' interview, "It’s that easy," he added.
“I mean, you could have cutting-edge foreign policy," host Brian Kilmeade added, "But then he also said with this tweet ... "Look, what I was saying is, right now, we have a one China policy, strategic ambiguity. So if we don’t say exactly what we would do if China goes to take Taiwan, he says, "I’m telling you right now, I will say we will back Taiwan militarily until 2028. At that time, we will have our chip capacity here domestically, theoretically, and then we’ll go back to the current policy we have right now." It’s a long way to go.”
