Trump confuses Four Seasons landscaping with hotel as presser venue, Internet can't 'think of anything funnier'

First Trump tweeted it would take place at the 'Four Seasons, Philadelphia,' but later corrected himself and said that the news conference was going to be held at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping

Shortly before the AP and other news outlets called the election for Joe Biden, on Saturday, November 7, morning, outgoing President Donald Trump took to Twitter to announce that his lawyers would be holding a “big press conference” in Philadelphia. White House reporter Josh Wingrove posted screenshots of the president’s tweet writing, “Trump, a hotelier at heart, announces a press conference at Philadelphia's "Four Seasons" at 11, before specifying it's at Four Seasons Total Landscaping at 11:30.”

First Trump tweeted it would take place at the “Four Seasons, Philadelphia,” later corrected himself and said that the news conference was going to be held at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping. The Four Seasons Hotel sent out its own tweet, making sure everyone knew that the news conference would not be held there but rather at the landscaping business as they wrote, “To clarify, President Trump’s press conference will NOT be held at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. It will be held at Four Seasons Total Landscaping— no relation with the hotel.”

Columnist Will Leitch wrote, “I am so honored to be an American right now, and my heart swells, and what an incredible night, and also my goodness I’m not sure anything has ever been funnier than The Four Seasons Total Landscaping thing and I might never get over it.” Another reporter wrote, “The hero of this story, obviously, is whoever answered the phone at Four Seasons Total Landscaping and had the presence of mind to quote the campaign a rental fee, rather than correcting the WH staffer making the call.”

Writer Zack Bornstein wrote, “I could write jokes for 800 years and I'd never think of something funnier than Trump booking the Four Seasons for his big presser, and it turning out to be the Four Seasons Total Landscaping parking lot between a dildo store and a crematorium.” Another tweet said, “Sure drones spelling out his name and a map of the country in the sky with fireworks are nice, but they're no Four Seasons Landscaping Parking Lot and Porn Store outside of Philly.” While another wrote, “I would watch a whole movie about the Four Seasons Landscaping fiasco.”

Four Seasons Total Landscaping was founded in 1992. In 2017, it celebrated 25 years of service to the Tri-state area. The property is solely owned by Marie Siravo and is certified with the Minority Business Enterprise Council through the City of Philadelphia. Trump, however, was not present for the press conference as he made prior gold plans at the Trump National Golf Course in Sterling, Virginia, after he lost this year's presidential election run to Joe Biden.

Quite accurately a twitter user observed, “If SNL somehow pulls off a sketch taking place at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, I think I will scream.” While another tweet observed, “I would hate to have been the person explaining to the President that a press conference was not actually at The Four Seasons but at Four Seasons Total Landscape.  In Bush world we called that going into the propellers” Posting a picture of how the press conference looked like, another tweet said, '''Hello? Four Seasons? How much for a press conference? $50? I'll take it!'”
