Four people who reportedly attended a Los Angeles mansion party believed to have been held for an NFL player are in a critical condition after shots were fired at the event. "A bunch of gangsters came in and robbed everything and everybody and started shooting," a terrified partygoer said while filming as multiple shots rang out at the lavish Beverly Crest pad.

Speaking to Fox 11, Officer Mike Lopez revealed that the shooting occurred just hours after authorities were summoned to a gated community in Mulholland Drive, near Franklin Canyon Park.

Police were called at about 6.30 pm after scores of people were seen to be attending the party amid a ban on large gatherings in Los Angeles County during the coronavirus pandemic.

“4 people reported shot at the location of the Beverly Hills mansion party that was happening tonight," Fox LA reporter Bill Melugin later tweeted.

“All critical. Additional RAs and engines requested," tweeted BH Scanner, which had been posting updates on the emergency response via Twitter.

One of the updates noted that "three have been taken to hospital" and that one victim had sustained "two shots to the upper body."

Gabriel Pacheco, one of the partygoers, shared disturbing footage of the moment shots were fired at the party. Taking to Instagram, he wrote that he was at a "big Hollywood Hills mansion party off Mulholland Drive."

According to Pacheco, gunmen opened fire after "a lot of big Ballers were gambling lost a lot of money [were] p***ed."

"Then a bunch of gangsters came in and robbed everybody and started shooting everybody," he continued. "A lot of people with money and guns and gangsters... got crazy! I ran for my life it was crazy."

Pacheco had reportedly been filming luxury cars in the driveway and chatting with girls before the shooting broke out inside the lavish home.

Appearing confused as shots rang out of the blue, Pacheco asked someone nearby, “Was that shooting?”

“Man they’re shooting, gotta get out of here," he later added.

Within moments, people were seen scurrying out of the house and heading straight for their vehicles as shots continued to be fired.

"Oh s*** they're nasty, damn, they're shooting, f*** they're shooting," Pacheco said on camera. "Be careful my boy, they're shooting over there."

He finally ended up hiding behind a vehicle with some others who were also trying to escape the scene. The LAPD arrived at the scene shortly after.

While it is unclear how many partygoers were possibly wounded, one person reportedly sustained a non-firearm injury to their wrist while fleeing the scene, per Newsweek.

Speaking to local news outlets, the LAPD said they were unable to stop the party the previous night as people weren't breaking any rules and officers didn't have a warrant to enter the said mansion.

A man who described himself as providing security for the party spoke to CBSN Los Angeles, claiming the party was thrown for an unidentified NFL player at a house in the 13000 block of Mulholland Drive.

“We have money. We are people," Security manager Kennie Leggett told the outlet. "This Covid, I mean, is just pushing us out everywhere, and we have nothing. So the only thing we do have is Airbnbs to rent swimming pools for our kids, to do big things and things of that nature.”

Leggett told the broadcaster that security was booked until 3 am, when the party was expected to end. The firm managing the short-term rental property later told CBSN it was the first time they had heard of the party. The tenants were subsequently informed their party was a serious violation of their rental agreement and were asked to leave the mansion immediately.
