LONDON KNIFE ATTACK TERROR: Four teens stabbed in London, with one reportedly 'disembowelled'
Four youths between the ages of 15 and 16 years were hospitalized after they were stabbed in south London on Thursday evening. Metro reported a witness as saying that one of the victims was almost "disembowelled."
Six attackers, who belong to the same age category, have been reportedly arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and grievous bodily harm.
On being asked for an update on the current condition of the injured boys, police said: "One remains critical, one is in a serious but stable condition and the remaining two did not suffer serious injuries."
According to LADBible, Scotland Yard has also confirmed the arrest of six males as well as revealed that they are being held in custody, while the four others were taken to south London hospitals. As per reports, the incident apparently took place on Landor House estate in Camberwell.
Superintendent Annmarie Cowley said: "This incident is in its very early stages and at present, we cannot speculate on what the nature of it may be. What we can say for certain is if there needed to be an example of the utter senselessness of knife crime, then this is it."
He added, "Four males are in the hospital, and at this stage, we cannot say how serious their injuries are. It is beyond comprehension."
According to a report by Metro, one boy has been disemboweled, and quoting an eyewitness present on the scene at the time of the incident, said, "Ten minutes before the stabbing I saw a whole heap of youths run down that way [indicating towards the crime scene]. Then 10 minutes later I heard people shouting and bawling out the back there."
The eyewitness added, "When I looked around the back there, I saw the youth come running from the block. He came to the corner and dropped. He was holding his belly and all of his intestines were falling on the ground."
Another neighbor also managed to have a look at the crime scene and revealed that she saw boys running on the grass opposite her flat shortly before the stabbing. "There were four or five black boys running. All of a sudden I could hear, 'Help, help'," she explained. "I have walked up and as I did I have seen the police running. One of the police officers got a first aid bag and I saw one of the boys lying on the floor."
As per the publication, the crime scene was littered with bloody clothes and medical equipment and was merely a short walk from where 23-year-old drill rapper Sidique Kamara (aka Incognito) was stabbed to death earlier this month. The Metropolitan Police said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident should call Southwark CID by dialling 101 and quoting reference CAD 5391/16 AUG."
