NEW CANAAN, CONNECTICUT: Fotis Dulos' ex-girlfriend arrived at court to testify regarding the death and disappearance of his wife Jennifer Dulos. Michelle Troconis, 46, entered a courthouse in Stamford, Connecticut on Tuesday while walking side by side with her mother and attorney Jon Schoenhorn to contest the prosecutor's proceedings against her in the Fotis Dulos' wife murder case.
Daily Mail reported that Troconis was spotted smiling as she was walking into the trial. After 13 years of marriage, Jennifer, a mother of five, vanished in May 2019 while embroiled in a contentious divorce and child custody dispute with Fotis, and her body was never discovered. Her ex-husband was first accused of killing her, but he killed himself before going to trial. At the time of Jennifer's disappearance, Troconis and Fotis, both 52, were dating, and according to the prosecution, she helped her lover hide his whereabouts and tell police lies.

Now that the defense team for Troconis is being accused of tampering with the evidence, attorney Schoenhorn is claiming that the prosecution breached his client's rights by releasing a private letter he addressed to Troconis. The 46-year-old is accused of tampering with evidence, conspiracy to commit murder, and hindering the prosecution.
According to the Stamford Advocate, prosecutors are attempting to oust Schoenhorn, the lawyer for Troconis, from the case and claim that he interfered with the evidence by turning in a hoodie with DNA hair strands that matched a former Fotis employee. In the meanwhile, Schoenhorn is seeking to exclude the Norwalk-Stamford State's Attorney Office from the murder investigation on the grounds that they violated the Troconis' rights when they read a note intended exclusively for his client and submitted with the sweatshirt. Schoenhorn keeps his mouth shut and hasn't told the police where he acquired the sweatshirt. The contents of the "private" note are unknown.
Troconis has insisted that she never assisted in Jennifer's harm or death. She added that she was unaware of what had occurred. Tronconis was seen weeping and claiming to investigators that she wasn't seeking to shield her ex-boyfriend Fotis in previously published footage from her police interrogation. She was heard begging, "I'm not protecting him. I'm not protecting him...I really don't want to see him ever again in my life." In the past, police have asserted that Tronconis admitted lying to detectives for Fotis. The officials believe Fotis attacked Jennifer on May 24, 2019, the day the 50-year-old mother of five was last seen, in the garage of her rental house in New Canaan, Connecticut, before he reportedly dumped her body with Troconis.
