‘For Life’ Episode 3: Surveillance footage exposes Marie’s wrongdoing but Aaron luckily gets a last chance
Spoiler alert for Episode 3 of ‘For Life’
Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock) continues to suffer at the hands of the legal system as the police refuse to give the file from his case. However, he is determined to find another way.
In Episode 3 of ‘For Life’, Safiya Masry (Indira Varma) approaches Aaron to legally represent one of the inmates who are a part of her rehabilitation unit. When Aaron learns that his client Hassan Nawaz’s (Felonious Munk) brother is a cop, he decides to enlist the police representative to fight his own case in the pretext of bringing justice to Hassan.
Despite being hesitant to testify for Hassan, owing to their parched relationship and professional integrity, the cop is convinced by Aaron’s determination and agrees to appear at the court as a witness. Meanwhile, Safiya’s efforts are faced with obstacles as O’Reilly and Glen Maskins (Boris McGiver) file charges against Aaron for forging evidence during his representation of Jose Rodriguez. Although she tries defending him, the surveillance footage exposes the stunt he pulled.
The District Attorney office representatives interrogate Marie Wallace (Joy Bryant) using the footage. O’ Reilly tries to intimidate Marie to get to Aaron. However, Marie isn’t regretful of her actions and believes her husband wouldn’t use her as a bait to get himself out of the prison.
Meanwhile, Aaron is determined to prove Hassan innocent, at the cost of his own case. Despite the new set of evidence, Aaron loses Hassan’s case. The judge dismisses the hearing owing to inadequate evidence and testimony to support Aaron’s argument.
Safiya, who is now aware of Aaron and Marie’s unethical act, feels he is using the inmates to work his own agenda. But, driven by desperation Aaron threatens Safiya of not revealing the intel on drug flow in the prison if his wife isn’t spared.
Although he loses Hassan’s case, his passion for the cause close to his heart convinces the former’s brother to help Aaron with his case, by sending out a photocopy of his file.
As Aaron finally gets the last chance he was hoping for, we need to wait and watch if he’ll be able to free himself from the imprisonment of a lifetime.
‘For Life’ airs on Tuesdays on ABC.
