'Flower of Evil' Episode 6 Promo: Hyun-soo being unconscious could keep Ji-won in the dark as she investigates
'Flower of Evil' Episode 6 promo adds more to the mystery as it teases Hyun-soo (Lee Joon-gi) not waking up despite getting treatment. We hear Ji-won (Moon Chae-won) ask the doctors what is wrong with him and why he won't wake up, leading to us believing that Hyun-soo might be out of action for a while. However, he might not be at risk of the truth surfacing anytime soon as the taxi driver, who knew that Hyun-soo was leading a false life as Hee-seong, was also injured during a tussle with one of the detectives. So with no one to tell Ji-won the truth, expect Moo-jin the journalist, will she continue to be in the dark about her husband?
Not just Hyun-soo, Ji-won is also unaware of how deeply Hee-seong's father and mother are involved in helping Hyun-soo rebuild his life as their son. The real Hee-seong, on the other hand, is bedridden. His medical condition is not something that has been revealed as of now, however, it looks like his parents are funding Hyun-soo for his sake.
This is why, when they heard about Hyun-soo being kidnapped, the first thing the old couple who are parents to Hee-seong did was corroborate a story that would sound realistic enough and result in the least amount of backlash for them and their family. They agree that they will blame Hyun-soo for using their weakness and getting them to do what he wished. What will they do now that Ji-won has managed to save Hyun-soo?
We also see in the promo that Ji-won has begun investigating the case of her husband's abduction. She has also seemed to figure out that Hyun-soo's sister can somehow help her find the root cause of everything. So Ji-won visits Hyun-soo's sister again and asks for help. She tells Hyun-soo's sister that the only thing that she will believe while investigating a case is something that she can verify and check with her own eyes.
She also tries to get Hyun-soo's sister to trust her by promising that she will not pay heed to hearsay and this might really be the key to getting the truth out of Hyun-soo's sister. Now that we know she is connected to the murder/missing case of what the country believes is the last victim of Hyun-soo's father's serial murders, we need more information about what really happened in the past. The only people who can tell us the real story is Hyun-soo and his sister, considering their father, the perpetrator of the crime, is already dead.
'Flower of Evil' will air on tvN on Wednesday and Thursday at 10.50 pm KST and can be streamed on Viki Global.
