'Flower of Evil' Episode 15 promo: Will Hae-soo's death lead to Hyun-soo killing Hee-seong or can Ji-won stop him?
'Flower of Evil' Episode 15 will finally see Hee-seong and Hyun-soo confront each other in a bloody fight that might end in one of them getting fatally injured. We know this because the promo of the show is out and it features a physical brawl between the two of them taking place in Hyun-soo's father Do Min-seok's abandoned workshop. This workshop is where Min-seok had allegedly kept all his victims and the fact that the show might come to an end at this very workshop is an obvious reference to the theme of how life has come a full circle for Hyun-soo.
The big question here is if Hyun-soo will take Hee-seong's bait and plunge himself into darkness by taking a life, just as the world had expected of him or if he would be fine. There is a lot that Hyun-soo would have held in at this point and that includes how his sister was fatally hurt by Hee-seong. He had believed that Hae-soo was Detective Ji-won and had arrived at her house, waiting in hiding to kill her. He believed that she would help Hyun-soo escape because she believes that he is innocent, just as Hyun-soo's father had once protected him in the past. So, this irks Hee-seong.
Hae-soo, who ended up having Ji-won's id with her by coincidence, uses it to pose as the detective and gets stabbed instead of Hyun-soo's wife. The last thing she remembers before she loses consciousness is a happy memory of herself with Hyun-soo and Moo-jin when the two of then were teenagers. The episode closed with her lying unconscious on the floor with Eun-ha hiding inside a locked room. So at this point, we do not know if she dies. However, the rage that we see both in Moo-jin who arrives at Hee-seong's house and in Hyun-soo when he tries to strangle Hee-seong makes us wonder if this is a result of the loss that the two of them have faced or if the two of them are expressing anger at the fact that their loved one was attacked by a psychopath.
At this point, we also see Jung Mi-sook make a call from a phone that is seen lying on the floor and the first thing she says is "Please help". She continues, "Please help Do Hyun-soo," which indicates that Hyun-soo might be in trouble after all. This is to say that despite Hee-seong being the one who gets pummeled to the floor, Hyun-soo might be the one to get hurt in the end. Was the call made to Ji-won and will the police also find out the truth about Hee-seong, the crimes that he had committed and the fact that he had killed Min-seok as well or is Hyun-soo doomed to live under the shadow of false claims?
