TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA: Florida police arrested a woman on Sunday after she allegedly physically assaulted her father after becoming frustrated by his relentless flatulence inside their home. 40-year-old Nicole Dozois was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning at their residence along 130th Avenue in North Largo, near to Tampa Bay, the Smoking Gun reported.

Authorities responded to the home just after 2 am after Dozois reportedly became engaged at her father Michael Dozois "due to his flatulence" as she was trying to sleep. Dozois and her 59-year-old father reportedly share a bedroom inside the home, police said.

A verbal altercation ensued between the duo as the father was passing too much gas, and the daughter's anger quickly turned physical, according to an affidavit. During the heated argument, Dozois reportedly punched her father in the face "numerous times" – leaving him with a bloodied left eye and scratches all over his neck.

Dozois was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County jail on charges of domestic battery. She was later released on her own recognizance. As reported by The Smoking Gun, the 40-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge and has been ordered to have no further contact with her father. It emerged Dozois has previously been arrested on charges of theft and probation violations. Police records show she was arrested in 2018 for allegedly punching her sister in the head inside the same Largo residence. However, prosecutors later decided not to pursue domestic battery charges against her.

Having said that, the Sunshine State is notorious for some of the most bizarre (often hilarious) crime episodes.

In April, we reported how a Florida woman was arrested after being deemed responsible for placing more than 400 porn-filled Easter eggs in mailboxes around her neighborhood.

The plastic eggs were discovered by residents of Flagler County. When they opened the eggs, there were no chocolates or sweet treats inside. Instead, they found a rather unusual assortment of items that included pornographic images as well as a goldfish cracker, a packet of drink mix, and a piece of toilet paper, the Palm Coast Observer reported.

Several annoyed residents called the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office complaining about the eggs. Authorities later apprehended Abril Cestoni, 42, after scouring through home surveillance footage from neighbors as well as anonymous tips that she had been the one to place the eggs in the mailboxes. Police arrested Cestoni after a successful traffic stop, and she later admitted to creating the pornographic images at home on a computer program.

Last October, we reported how two men from Florida attempted to capture an alligator from the side of the road, held it down, and poured beer into its mouth.

The accused, 27-year-old Timothy Kepke and 22-year-old Noah Osborne, had allegedly filmed the incident in Palm City. During interrogation, Kepke claimed that Osborne had grabbed the animal with his hands. Kepke was bitten by the animal on his right forearm before pouring beer down its throat.

Kepke told authorities that Osborne had caught the animal while he enticed it to bite him. They then poured beer down the alligator's throat which caused the animal to act aggressively.

The pair then proceeded to release the gator alive, Kepke told cops. Despite confessing that he had had a couple of beers before, he claimed he was not drunk at the time of the incident.
